A Joint Show of Design Works by Graduates from BIFT and

On the evening of March 25, a joint show of design works by graduates from BIFT and Taiwan Shih-Chien University, and BIFT SEVEN DAYS Excellent Graduation Project Scholarship awarding ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of Beijing Hotel. Leaders from China National Textile and Apparel Council, SEVEN DAYS brand, Beijing Municipal Education Committee, China Fashion Designers Association, Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau, Beijing Garment and Textile Association, Beijing CPPCC Standing Committee, China Textile & Apparel Press and BIFT attended the ceremony and watched the performance.    The performance themed with the Chinese character “mao, which represents the concept of time as well as the image of doors with the connotation of new career beginning for college graduates. On the fashion week stage, about 130 works designed by students from both universities were showed. This is the second joint performance since last year’s cooperation.

   This year’s exhibition featured cooperation between BIFT and enterprises. The Excellent Graduation Project Scholarship was co-established by BIFT and the SEVEN DAYS Team under Zhejiang Dragon Group. With the most influential designers from mainland China, SEVEN DAYS is promoting the concept “DESIGN IN CHINA” globally. In addition to the three-year scholarship, SEVEN DAYS also offered some materials to the graduates free of charge.

   Growth, designed by Lin Hai, Zhao Xin, and He Liuying from School of Fashion Art and Engineering, was awarded the gold prize.  Confusion of 0 & 1, designed by Zhu Shengwei, Wang Chen and Qin Meng, and Invisible Wave by Zhao Xiu and Jiang Fan won the silver prize. Harmonious Rain by Zhan Yiwen and Lian Yaoyao, Listen by Dong Mengmeng and Liu Jing, Grave of the Fireworm by Wang Shuang and Song Jiuling won the bronze prize. Other 10 works won the Excellence Award. Recreation won the best technology award and Ma Lianna, student from BIFT, became the Best Performer.
